Historical artistic monuments, sixteen kilometres of coastline, six museums, more than ten thousand palm trees, thirty processional sculptures, which are usually taken through the city during the Holy Week, and a poet. “Semblantes de la vida” (The Faces of life) is the title of the exhibition The “Luz de las imágenes” that, throughout 2003 and continuing until March 2004 will illuminate Orihuela. A selection of artistic pieces, which explain the history of the diocese, exhibited on five sites.

The Sailing and Yachting club at the Cabo Roig beach will offer their services to practice any water sports, sailing and windsurfing. A bit farther towards Campoamor’s Marina a wide beach turns up that is always spotted by colourful windsurf sails ridding the waves. In the South end of the Orihuela Coastline, the Mil Palmeras Beach goes beyond the next town beaches .The nautical facilities are complemented with three excellent golf courses placed just a few metres from the sea. |
